ABOUT US
Helping Local Families
The original Deakin Allen Trust was launched in 1995 to assist local Deakin Allen during an illness. With a team of supporters and fundraising efforts the Trust has continued and with the generous bequest of Marjorie Coombs in 2008, the Deakin Allen & Marj Coombs Children's Welfare Trust was born.

The trust is a registered Australian charity that offers financial assistance to parents or guardians of children up to 18 years of age who are undergoing protracted medical treatments for illness, injury or disabilities and who live in the Mansfield Shire (Victoria).

The trust endeavours to meet the financial shortfall of expenses not covered by other avenues of support, such as the Victoria Patient Transport Assistance Scheme.

The Deakin Allen & Marj Coombs Children's Welfare Trust is funded by donations and managed by a small group of volunteers. Many of whom have previously been supported by the trust. We are proud to have supported over 50 local and extended families to date.
